While guests are experiencing the venue, Vantage helps park staff by contextualizing data that is meaningful to optimize the overall operations of the venue. Our clients range from water parks and theme parks to hotels and resorts, museums, zoos, and much more. Our goal is to grow our business by doubling clients year over year.

This Role

We are currently seeking a customer-centric, energetic, and highly motivated individual to join our Product Team. The Product Owner provides support, leadership, product management, training, and technical expertise while working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. A successful candidate for this position should be able to understand the needs and interactions of end-users, their expectations of the tools they use, and be enthusiastic about creating digital transformation for the hospitality industry while delivering a best-in-class guest experience. 

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, you will be a critical member of a small but growing team. You will contribute to the overall development of our Product division as we work together to build a unique and proactive customer-centric culture that will be unrivaled in the amusement industry.


Team Organization

The team cadence includes annual planning, quarterly offsites, monthly updates, weekly priority meetings, and daily huddles to ensure we capture opportunities in a very fast-paced industry. We have offices in Longmont, Colorado, Orlando, Florida, and Vancouver, BC Canada. However, this role has the option of working remotely. Regardless of location, you will be provided with all the necessary productivity tools to be successful.


The Near Future

Our team will be working together over the next six months on these prioritized components:

1) Achieving scalability

2) Refining systems and processes to ensure stability

3) Developing the platform while installing Vantage and supporting clientele.

4) Developing a long-term roadmap for product development

5) Defining and developing a world-class venue management system for the inland surf vertical

Your Role

  • Manage the vision, direction, and enterprise perception of our product offerings
  • Communicate across multiple levels to ensure understanding of product and functionality.
  • Work within the product management organization to create and deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Assist with grooming of Product Backlog
  • Product Documentation Creation
  • Assists with customer acceptance and feedback of delivered product
  • Own User Story creation and work closely with engineering to ensure the product vision is upheld throughout the product life cycle
  • Communicate and share knowledge throughout the Vantage organization
  • Manages the overall creation of User Interface and ensures it adheres to Vantage standards
  • Learn and drive new and improved product capabilities throughout the enterprise.
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to all departments throughout the organization on Vantage product offerings’ best practices and functionality
  • Manage the vision for the Vantage platform through integrations and automation.
  • Review and monitor product quality and security and implement appropriate actions
  • Build relationships with internal departments and external vendors to ensure effective use of the applications
  • Define and addresses team, department, and enterprise-level issues and recommend changes to increase productivity, efficiency, and security
  • Create and present training to teams, departments, and enterprise audiences
  • Utilize industry-standard product management processes to achieve effective results
  • Develop reporting to manage usage and prepare recommendations to increase adoption


You Bring

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience within a product development organization
  • Previous experience as a product owner (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in a job in the amusements or leisure industry (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
  • Technical background, with experience in IoT, software development or hardware development is a plus
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must be able to travel 20% of the time
  • Experience documenting UX
  • Certification in improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or TQM

$75,000 - $110,000 based on experience
