QA Engineer for fast-growing, fully-funded start-up in The Amusement Park Industry

Role

Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be a critical member of a small but growing team. You will contribute to product road maps and work on software development and testing within an agile organization. The team cadence includes annual planning, quarterly offsites, monthly updates, weekly priority meetings and daily huddles to ensure we capture opportunities in a very fast-paced industry. You will work out of our Longmont, CO office and will be provided all the necessary productivity tools to be successful.


As a QA Engineer, you will manage the testing of the foundation of Vantage software. This critical role ensures the Vantage platform is integrated across parks globally and will QA the back-end as well as oversee the QA of the front-end of the Vantage platform that drives the guest experience and park operations.


Challenges

The challenges our team will face over the next six months are prioritized as follows:

  • Modularizing our system
  • Achieving scalability
  • Developing the platform while installing Vantage and supporting clientele

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build reusable code for QA automation
  • Work closely with developers & product team to identify, classify, and test new features and issues
  • Monitor and track resolution of defects, coordinating with developers in order to prevent, report, and resolve defects
  • Collaborate with the product team to redefine acceptance criteria for user stories
  • Produce, review, and enhance test documentation
  • Participate in Conferences and Continuing Education
  • Participate in Customer Meetings & Requirements Gathering
  • Testing and setting up hardware needed for clients.
  • Work closely with the development team on a daily basis
  • As a small and growing company, there may be other duties as required

  

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience creating test plans for mobile and web applications
  • 2+ years using Selenium, WebDriver, or another automated testing suite
  • Experience in test automation, manual functional, integration and regression testing on mobile iOS, Android, and Web-based applications against new builds and releases in an Agile environment
  • Experience testing RESTful API’s
  • Experience working in CI/CD Pipelines
  • Experience testing hardware is a plus
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Familiarity with agile software development
